recent study from Social Media Examiner showed that 68% of marketers are planning on increasing their investment in SEO in 2012 as the switch from offline to online marketing spend continues. It also showed that SEO was the second highest form of marketing that marketers were planning to participate in in 2012, coming in just behind email marketing.
The study was aimed principally at
social media and marketer’s habits and plans for 2012. The key findings included:
- 83% see social media as an important part of their business.
- Video marketing is top of the ‘to do’ list for 2012
- 67% of marketers plan on increasing their activity on Google+
- The top five social media networks for marketers were Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, blogs and YouTube
