As Google continues to make incremental changes to their global brand and product, it seems we are coming across new and interesting changes in the world of SEO. Google has now changed the way URLs are displayed in the SERPs.
Display URLs always appear in Google results, but as Google becomes much more targeted in its approach, the URLs we see are changing slightly too. In this case below, we typed Lyle and Scott into Google and it brought up the following result:

Notice the condensed display URL at the bottom – this is Google showing us the part that they think we are interested in (in this case Lyle and Scott) and removing the parts that we don’t really need to see.
It is interesting to see Google make these small changes and it seems that the search engine giant really is trying to give users what they want.
