Google Hits Webmasters with Unnatural Links Warnings

Have You Received an Unnatural Links Warning?

Google appears to have sent another wave of unnatural links warnings in their latest attempt to battle unnatural link profiles and page rank manipulation. Social media platforms are frenzied with panic from webmasters worried that they no longer comply with Google Webmaster Guidelines.

Why Have I Received a Warning?

The Google webspam team perform manual reviews of sites regularly, searching for poor quality links, overuse of anchor text and unnatural link profiles. Google insists links are just one of many signals used to rank pages and that anyone caught manipulating page rank through the use of unnatural links will be in violation of their quality guidelines. Even if a backlink profile appears to be clean on the surface, it may require in-depth analysis in order to determine the cause and avoid an unnatural links penalty.
