How To Solve The Yahoo Tracking Issue In Google Analytics

Here at WMG, we had one instance where a client’s Google Analytics account was tracking Yahoo/cpc visits as Yahoo/organic visits. Obviously, something was going wrong, so WMG started to investigate.

It turns out that the destination URLs were not being tagged with the necessary query parameters, which will allow Analytics to identify Yahoo PPC Ads as Yahoo/cpc and not Yahoo/organic. To help solve the problem, Google has a useful Analytics URL Builder which is sure to be of use to many people that have been having the same issue.
