The Google Timeline of Algorithm Updates

Google perturbed the SEO world with their latest algorithm update, known as the ‘Panda Update’ or the ‘Farmer Update’.  Sites with low quality content, over-optimised SEO content (especially content farms and submission sites) or duplicate content were hit the hardest, with rankings falling dramatically.
Very recently, there have been reports from Onewayfurniture.com and Daniweb.com that recovery from Panda has already begun. 

Both companies have made changes to their sites such as hiring professional SEO copywriters to produce original content, removing all duplicate copy, replacing low quality links with high quality ones, and making better use of 301 redirects.  It seems that a bit of good SEO practice and listening to the white-hatters’ advice all along would have paid off. 

While the Panda Update has caused uproar for many leading online businesses, it has been essential to reverse any unethical or lazy SEO tactics.  This isn’t the first time that Google has changed its algorithm and it certainly won’t be the last.
