WMG Clients Flying High after a Successful December

It was a happy Christmas for WMG and its clients this year as we bucked the trend of retail doom and gloom and helped clients achieve an average increase in revenue of 54% compared to December 2010.

According to the BRC-KPMG Retail Sales Monitor, non-food non-store (internet, mail-order and phone) sales were up 18.5% on December 2010, with WMG clients striding way beyond that figure with an average of 54% improvement in revenue. This improvement generated an increase of £2,133,160, a fantastic result for both WMG and our clients. SEO campaigns aren’t just about rankings and traffic, proving ROI is essential, so seeing our link building, copywriting and on site consultancy bearing fruit in this way is extremely rewarding.

The improvement covers a wide ranging client base comprising a huge variety of industries, from clothing and jewellery to home ware and extreme sports retailers, all of which have benefitted from increased visibility in search through the SEO work we have done for them. The figures are based on 41 clients who have been with us for at least 2 years and have the Ecommerce function in Google Analytics set up, clearly illustrating the benefits a long term SEO campaign can have:

It’s another great result for us here at WMG after a strong 2011 which saw us continue to grow and branch out into new offices, further improving our ability to service clients to the highest level possible. We’ll be aiming to improve these results again this year and continue to help clients succeed against an economic background which is far from stable.

Roll on 2012!
