The Conservative Party has recently appointed Tom Steinberg, founder of mySociety, to help the party build their online presence. Steinberg built the No 10 petitions website.
The party launched an Obama style website called MyConservatives where people can help campaign for the candidates they support. Obama has excellent online presence and used digital media to its fullest in his electoral campaign. Obama, or his aides, currently use social media sites like Facebook and Twitter to engage with the public.
