Firefox 3.0.11 Makes Some Serious Waves…

Mozilla’s Firefox browser has gradually been gaining more and more Internet Explorer converts, looking for a more dynamic and successful web browser. With this in mind, it is no surprise that the new Firefox 3.0.11 has been so popular, despite only being launched a short time ago.

A statement from Mozilla indicated that the new 3.0.11 browser had been downloaded 150 million times within the first 24 hours of being available, proving the huge following that Firefox has. Of course, this figure might include automatic downloads of the new browser, but it is still an undoubtedly impressive figure. So, does this mean that Microsoft’s Internet Explorer is losing favour with web users? People are constantly on the lookout for new and exciting browser features, which Firefox has a plethora of.

Firefox 3.0.11 was released on 11th June and builds on the Firefox 3 browser launch of last year; a launch that saw 8 million unique downloads on the first day and also managed to secure a new Guinness World Record.
