Google’s annual profit rise by 54%

Google saw profits rise by 54% in 2009 to $6.52bn.
 
Google’s growth, particularly in the Fourth quarter, has been attributed to the growth of non-search operations such as YouTube whose revenue grew by 16% year on year. AdSense also posted impressive results with 21% revenue growth.
 
Google’s revenue is spread globally with 53% of revenue generated outside the United States. The UK is a significant contributor generating 12% of total revenues.
