Online Display Ad Activity Increases

According to Nielsen Online, UK online display ad activity has increased by 21% during the first third of 2009, compared with the same time last year.

5,900 advertisers were running online display ad campaigns between the months of January and April, which shows that there is still a high demand for online ads in the current climate, as people look for ways to increase their online marketing activity.

In 2006, the number of online advertisers had increased by 43%, with the number of campaigns up by 49%.
