The Backstory

Webevents was the brain child of our enterprising CEO Dennis Engel, who came up with the concept of online trade shows in the late 1990s. In 2000, the concept became a reality. Using a team of software developers to create a platform to generate and manage virtual exhibitions, Webevents featured stands for advertisers, news hubs and knowledge centres.

Dennis’ astute perception in 2003 led us to make the transition from online tradeshows to develop a suite of basic online marketing products designed to drive targeted traffic to websites. The rest is history so to speak, and several iterations later our services have become more sophisticated and so have we.

WMG (formerly known as The WebMarketing Group) has become one of the fastest growing digital marketing agencies in the UK with an annual turnover of £7m and profits in excess of £1.5m. With an outstanding reputation and an enviable market-leading position developed over 13 years, the Company and Group continues to grow from strength to strength.
